The size of the Florida collection depends on whether the subject must be endemic to (occurring only in) Florida or if the image was merely captured in Florida. Florida Only, the first section of images in The Americas, consists of the endemics. Those images anywhere on that page that were actually captured in Florida are shown in brown with yellow-green background, while those others that could be found in Florida are shown with a darker green background. (As you scroll down that page, when you reach Canada, you've gone too far).
Gigapans, named after one of the companies that makes equipment for these, are large panoramas made from probably hundreds of photographs, each taken with a telephoto lens, instead of the usual wide-angle lens, to get more detail. One could take advantage of that detail to print these images the size of murals or just admire that detail online.
