Arctic Fox
Churchill Wildlife Management Area, Manitoba, Canada
The week we were in Churchill we only saw this one Arctic Fox, and then for only about three minutes. Nancy noticed something (maybe the nose) coming rapidly toward us in the snow. By the time she identified it and raised her camera, it was almost abeam of our polar rover, where it stopped just long enough for Nancy to get a couple shots. Then it disappeared into the distance. Nancy was one of only a few photographers that got it's picture.
This image was good enough to earn Nancy some recognition - an Honorable Mention from the Explorers’ Corner annual photo contestour awards and a Second Place in a monthly clicktique at our local Kendall Camera Club.
